The current implementation of Auto Shot Tracking on Golfshot requires the player to wear the Apple Watch on their leading wrist (The front wrist of your swing). Please ensure that you are not wearing the Apple Watch on your trailing wrist. If you are wearing your watch on the incorrect wrist or your settings arent correct you will receive an Orientation Not Supported message on the AST screen on your watch.
Since the feature relies on knowing the correct orientation of the watch sensors, you should ensure that your Watch orientation settings match the way you are wearing it. You can view / edit this in the Apple Watch app settings -> General -> Watch Orientation. Make sure you have your leading wrist selected (and you are wearing the watch on your leading wrist) and select whichever side you like to wear the digital crown.
In the Golfshot settings > Apple Watch > input the way you play golf, as in your dominant hand. (If you play left-handed, select "Left Handed" and your right hand will be the leading wrist with the watch on it).
We are working for support to Automatically track shots for users who prefer to wear the watch on their trailing wrist, but it is not yet available.

2+ years of this being "worked on" and we still haven't gotten this functionality.
Any news on this issue? I generally don’t wear a watch while playing, but as a lefty who plays golf righty, when I do it would be very strange to wear it on my left (leading) wrist. Shame, as I’d certainly give the Pro version a try otherwise.
