Auto Shot Tracking is a feature which intuitively tracks each shot using the Apple Watch during your round without the need to press anything! View the step by step visual directions here.
- Open the Golfshot app and navigate to Settings → Apple Watch and enable “Auto Shot Tracking.”
- Wait for the SwingML to download and be processed. This is our proprietary Machine Learning model that uses the watch sensors to detect when you take a golf shot. There is a progress indicator to let you know when it is ready.
3. Ensure your watch is on your leading wrist.

We also recommend these settings for the best experience:
- Settings> GPS, Scoring, Caddie > Background GPS to Always
- Settings > GPS, Scoring, Caddie > Auto-Advance to Next Hole > OFF
- Settings > Apple Watch > Smart Club Distances and Shot Tracking Auto Accuracy > ON
