Golfshot is designed to wait only for a legitimate golf shot, but occasionally, you may realize that it picks up a practice swing. The Golfshot app works to mitigate this automatically depending on your location.
From the Tee Box, your forward momentum is required for a tracked shot to effectively be tracked. This means if you take a practice swing on the tee box and Golfshot starts tracking, then you actually take a ball golf shot, Golfshot will use the second golf shot to track your shot.
Similarly from the fairway or greenside, golfshot waits for you to move locations, so as long as you take a practice swing near your ball location, striking your ball and proceeding to the next location shouldn’t result in a saved missed shot.
If you need to delete a incorrecly tracked golf shot you can delete or edit at any time during or after your round. Open the phone app > on the GPS screen press menu > Tracked Shots > edit or delete here. You can also edit or delete tracked shots from the rounds section of the app for saved rounds.
