Auto Shot Tracking menu options on the Apple Watch can have three states depending on the current status on a given hole.
Missed Shot: The Missed Shot option is shown when you are on the tee box, or when you arrive at your balls location after your tee/approach shot. This option is intended to ‘Start’ a new tracked shot if Golfshot fails to automatically start tracking after you take a golf shot.
Cancel Shot: If you take a shot, but don’t move locations, you may notice the Apple Watch menu option changes to ‘Cancel Shot’. This option allows you to cancel any shot tracking that is in progress while you are still near your ball.
End Shot: The End Shot option appears when you are standing on the Green. Golfshot doesn’t track putt distances, so the End Shot simply ends and saves your approach shot, but does not start tracking a new shot.
Golfshot is designed to disregard short swings/duff shots. Occasionally a short/duff shot may be saved which will appear in your tracked shots. This shot will count against statistics, but shouldn’t be factored into average club distances.
Any tracked shot can be deleted during or after a round is saved. Open the phone app > on the GPS screen press menu > Tracked Shots > edit or delete here. You can also edit or delete tracked shots from the rounds section of the app for saved rounds.
