There are a few reasons why N/A would be displayed for some categories on your Swing ID dashboard. The newest Swing ID categories utilize Apple’s newly released High frequency motion data. This is only available on Apple Watch Series 8, Ultra and newer.
Generally, the Swing ID dashboard needs at least 10 saved swings to calculate an average for a category.
Please also double check the following:
- Watch OS is updated to OS 10
- iPhone is updated to iOS 17
- Track Fitness Data is turned on
- Motion and Fitness setting is turned on*
In most circumstances, the issue is that Motion and Fitness data is not turned on. Motion and Fitness is a specific setting is related but distinct from the general fitness or health data options.
Turn on Motion and Fitness: iPhone > Settings > Golfshot > Motion and Fitness > ON.
If this setting is not displayed in the device Settings section for the Golfshot app please try the following:
1. Launch the Golfshot app
2. Click on Settings > Auto Shot Tracking > turn this setting off
3. Reinstall the Golfshot app
4. Open the Golfshot app and sign in
5. Click on Settings > Auto Shot Tracking > turn this setting on
6. From the home screen press Start Round > on the round start up screen make sure to turn Track Fitness Data to ON
7. Press blue Start Round button > make absolutely sure to accept the location and Fitness and motion pop up options.
Your devices should now be able to access motion and fitness and display the 3 new Swing ID KPIs! This is necessary to receive the High Frequency motion data needed for this new technology!
