Your course handicap is the adjusted handicap used during your rounds calculated from your Average to Par or Exact handicap index. The course handicap is derived from the average to par value, the slope/rating, and par of the tee chosen for the round.
The course handicap helps create a net score for the player: Gross score - Course handicap = Net Score.
The course handicap is shown as dots on your scorecard.
To view your scorecard during a round
1. Press menu on the GPS screen
2. Select View Scorecard.
After the round is complete
1. Select Rounds from the home screen
2. Choose your desired round
3. View scorecard.
The dots added up will equal the handicap shown in the upper corner of the scorecard view.
**Please do not enter your course handicap directly into the app as the app automatically creates this for you. Only enter your exact handicap into any handicap setting in the app.
If you do not see a handicap value displayed or dots, this means you do not have net scoring turned on for the round. The course handicap is not being used for these rounds. Calculate Net Score is a setting enabled on the Round Set up screen.
To turn on Calculate Net Score:
1. Press Start Round on home screen
2. Make your course and teebox selections
3. Under Round Options > turn Calculate Net Scores to ON
Your course handicap is calculated by the World Handicap system guidelines, your Average to Par set in your settings and the difficulty of the course. If something looks off please email our support team to troubleshoot support@golfshot.com.
