Auto Putt Tracking (APT) is designed to work across supported Apple Watch Series 8 Models or newer, but performance can vary depending on the hardware you’re using. Differences in sensor layout and case size can affect how consistently putts are detected.
Apple Watch Ultra, Ultra 2, or Series 10+:
APT performs at its best on these devices. Most putts are captured automatically with high accuracy, and only occasional adjustments are needed.
Apple Watch Series 8 and Series 9:
APT still works well, but results can be more variable. You may occasionally need to add or correct a putt.
APT is built to continuously improve, and performance will keep getting better through ongoing refinements. As newer Apple Watch hardware becomes more common, users should see even more consistent automatic detection over time.
