Off the Tee, Approach the Green, Around the Green and On the Green. Golfshot utilizes the Auto Shot Tracking feature to automatically gain insights into each shot on the hole and provide our members with Strokes Gained statistics.
Currently, Strokes Gained will measure your game against an average Pro golfer's game.
Off the Tee:
Strokes gained off the tee is a measure of a golfer's performance on tee shots. It takes into account the distance and accuracy of the shot, as well as the position of the ball on the fairway or rough. Golfers who have a positive stroke gained off the tee are gaining strokes on the Pros with their tee shots.
Approach the Green:
Strokes gained approach is a measure of a golfer's performance on shots that are played from outside of 50 yards to the green. It takes into account the distance, accuracy, and proximity to the hole of the shot. Golfers who have a positive strokes gained approach are gaining strokes on their competitors with their approach shots.
Around the Green:
Strokes gained around the green is a measure of a golfer's performance on shots played from within 50 yards of the green. It takes into account the accuracy and proximity to the hole of the shot, as well as the difficulty of the shot based on your lie type. Golfers who have a positive strokes gained around the green are gaining strokes on their competitors with their short game skills.
On the Green:
Strokes gained putting is a measure of a golfer's performance on the putting green. It takes into account the number of putts taken, as well as the length and difficulty of the putts. Golfers who have a positive strokes gained putting are gaining strokes on their competitors with their putting skills.
