With the features Voice Hole Information and Auto Advance, members can receive audible course information when approaching a teebox without taking out their phones.
With these settings turned on, Golfshot will automatically detect your location on the course and proceed to the next hole, even when your device is in your pocket. On advancing to the next hole, Golfshot will tell you the hole number, par, handicap, and distance to the green from your tees. Pro Members also get Club Recommendations when they arrive at the Tee Box.
Turn on Auto Advance and Voice Hole Information
During your round, select the in round menu from the GPS screen > Select Voice and Auto-Advance > Turn ON Auto Advance and Voice Hole Information.
Adjust Background GPS Setting
If your intention is to keep your device in your pocket, please adjust your Background GPS setting to ensure your phone stays in connection with satellites while its locked. During your round, select the in round Menu > Scroll down and select Settings > GPS, Scoring, Caddie > Background GPS > Lengthen the period of time that Golfshot can access your location while the app is backgrounded. Setting Background GPS to Always will ensure GPS stays connected but may drain your battery more significantly. Even when set to Always, your device should last over an 18 hole round.
