This can happen when your iPhone's Compass Calibration setting has been disabled.
To fix this, go to your iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Scroll to the very bottom and select System Services > On the next screen, turn ON the Compass Calibration switch. Then reopen Golfshot.
Golfscape should now be ready to use!
