Joining a Golf Genius tournament right from the Golfshot app is easy and entering a GGID is available for all Golfshot members- free or paid!
Entering the GGID code given to you by your event organizer will allow you to connect with the Golf Genius tournament, live score, and view leaderboards right from the Golfshot app!
- The first step is starting your round. In the Golfshot app, press the big blue Start Round button on the home screen and then select your course.
- After selecting your course, you will see a GGID field in the upper right-hand side of the screen. Select this field. Alternatively, there is also a GGID field in the middle of the Round Setup screen after you enter your course/tee box information.
- Enter the GGID for your tournament and press Done.
- After selecting your tees and reviewing the Round Options scroll to the bottom and press the blue Start Round button.
The GGID, or Golf Genius ID, is a unique code generated by Golf Genius for events and tournaments. Entering a GGID will unlock Pro features for the round.
If you are a golfer that is playing in a Golf Genius-managed tournament, please enter the tournament ID here. Please only enter the code generated for the specific tournament or event in this field.
In rare cases, some Golf Genius tournament setups and scoring options are not currently compatible with Golfshot. You will receive a pop-up message for these instances. We are working on adding these options in future development.
